Condenser

Electric or electronic (depending whether one talks about strong or small currents) component made up of two parallel surfaces which are conductive (i.e. they let electricity pass through them like most metals) and separated by an insulating material (i. e. one which doesn't let electricity through it like dry wood). This component has lots of uses in electricity and electronics. It allows to temporarily store electricity.
